Different Methods to Save Outlook PST to PDF

When you see PST files, what comes first in mind is MS Outlook. PST format belongs solely to this program, you can read a PST file save in any location in your machine in Outlook. Even if you try you cannot open a PST file in any other application, which give it much leverage over other email client.

 

There are often such conditions, when you may come to the need to save your Outlook PST file emails as PDF format, which bring us to the problem, how you save emails as PDF format. Let’s have a closer look at the conditions and its consequent solution.

  • When you save emails as PDF, you can restrict editing, copying and printing of the emails, which secure them from compromising when you share them.
  • You can collaborate your emails for presentation, project purpose in PDF.

 

Now that we have established few of the most common reasons for PST to PDF Conversion, let’s see now how to get it done.

 

Well there are some ways to get it done but most people use this method to save PST as PDF.

 

Using MS Word

 

  • Open MS Outlook
  • Open an Email
  • Go to File >> Save As >> Choose Location & File Type (.html)
  • Now go to the location, where you saved the .html file
  • Select the file, right-click on .html file
  • From the Drop-Down menu, choose Open With >> MS Word
  • As the file opens in MS Word
  • Go to File >> Save As >> File Type (.pdf)

 

If the PDF option is not visible, then download the Add-on for PDF/XPS and add the extension in MS Word.

 

This option is quite useful and can be used anytime, but there is one slight problem, you can only save 1 email at a time. For those user, who have large number of files, this process may become very tiring. MS Outlook installation is compulsory for using this method. With this method you may not be able to save the emails with attachments.

 

Alternate Method: Outlook to PDF Converter

 

For many user the above method may not suit there requirement, for them there is another option available i.e. PST to PDF Converter Software.
